Out of uniform, Rocky would easily pass for a farm boy or dock worker. He, by no means, cares about fashion or even if his socks match. He does care about personal hygiene and showers frequently and most often smells like soap and grass.
He has tender, puppy dog brown eyes and a sweet smile that completely express how much of a sweetheart this guy is. He wouldn’t hurt a fly, at least not intentionally. His features are soft but not feminine. And lately he has found that the fine hair growing on his face gives him a few more looks from the ladies. He's certain that they fancy the change.
Rocky has a leisurely walk, always stopping here and there to take notice of something or someone. He is rarely ever in a hurry to do anything unless it is an emergency.
In uniform, his shirt is almost always untucked and his tie tied loosely around his neck, but his shoes will be shined. Taking time to polish his shoes is just something he finds relaxing.
And he always has his keystone attached to a thick silver chain attached to his belt loop and tucked deep into his pocket.

Weird Quirks: Rocky sleepwalks. He never knows what he does during his walks and until he came to Idris he had no idea that he did sleepwalk. But once at Idris, when he would leave his room without his key, there would be no way for him to return to bed. Quite often he is found curled up outside his dormitory door or in the common room. Twice he has left the common room and ventured into the school halls only to be escorted back by a staff member. Needless to say, Rocky ALWAYS wears pajamas to bed. It only took one time waking up on in the hallway in his underpants to remedy that matter.
Secrets He lies. Not compulsively though. He usually only does it when he is trying to prevent conflict or pain for himself or others. Hiding behind a lie is easy and he rarely gets caught with them.

Rocky, in general, is a nice guy. He’d do just about anything for anyone, but he is very non-committal, giving himself an out if he decides he would rather be doing something else. But when he does make a promise to someone it is unbreakable.
He is a fun loving person who tends to goof off more than study. He is far from mastering his mage abilities but he has definitely learned alot. The only time he has to control his magic is when he is upset and with his easy going personality, that doesn’t happen very often. The most likely time Rocky would have an incident is during a thunderstorm. The thunder and lightening tend to make him tense and more or less – scared. It isn’t uncommon for the boy to slam on a pair of headphones or crank up the stereo to drown out the sounds of a violent storm. If he is unable to use these resources, you might notice a bit of vibration accompanying the lightening strikes and rolls of thunder.

Allison Rhodes is the only child of a single mother. Her father was killed in an automobile accident before Allison was born. She was doted on by both sets of grandparents while her mother, a school teacher, worked hard to take care of her.
With an ambition to travel and the desire to help people in need, Allison volunteered for the Red Cross. Eventually she earned her place on a team that responded to natural disaster relief. It was while she was in Uganda, Africa that she met a young handsome missionary. Allison was apparently too much temptation for him as they dove into a very passionate romance. Of course, four months later it was off to a new country and a new assignment. When she left she was sure she was doing the right thing by not telling Tom about the pregnancy.
Allison was in the Phillipines when Richard Alexander was born (named for Allison’s grandfathers). For her, he was a prize she completely felt unworthy of. The baby was quite the center of attention in their camp and among the people Allison was there to help.
Rocky grew up traveling the world, moving from one horrible tragedy to the next. When you see people’s lives ripped apart so easily, you take nothing for granted.
As a young boy, he often played with the children who were displaced and homeless, but when Rocky brought out a ball and the group of them began to kick it around and laugh and play, all the fears and trauma seemed to melt away.
It was, however, a frightening experience that Rocky first discovered his unusual ability.
On September 11, 2001, Rocky and his mother were in New York City. Their destination - The World Trade Center where the ICRC headquarters was located. Allison was there to receive an award honoring her work. She normally didn’t go to these things, but it was time for a little family vacation and it was also an opportunity to speak to the organization about increasing their budget. Nevertheless, they had just stepped off the lift when the unthinkable happened. The building shook so violently that Rocky and his mother fell to the floor. Alarms began to sound and the lights went out. The eerie sounds of steel bending and breaking made Rocky’s heart pound so hard and fast. He cried out for his mother. Allison was there and grabbed her son while she searched desperately for the stairwell. She noticed a dozen people slipping out through a door and pulled Rocky with her to follow. The whole time, Rocky held on to his mother and chanted in his head, “Don’t fall. Don’t fall. I know you want to. But please, wait. Let the people out first.” He had no idea what he was doing. Talking to a building seemed ridiculous. But he was frightened and his mind hoped that it was possible.
When Rocky and his mother finally emerged and got out on the street, he saw firemen rushing into the building. He caught one by the arm and pleaded with the man to not go. That the building was going to fall. But the fireman had a job to do.
When the building collapsed and the cloud of dust swept over the city, Rocky cried and screamed “NO!!!” as his mother pushed him to the ground and covered him with her body. Oddly, the cloud skimmed over the pair as if they were in some sort of bubble. The world grew dark as the cloud blocked out all of the light. When it all settled enough to see again, everything was grey. People, cars, trees. And then there was Rocky, brown haired, tanned skin, in his slightly mussed black trousers and white shirt and Allison next to him in her snagged stockings and slim lilac skirt with matching floral blouse. They were a very unusual site on the New York street. People stared at them for a while until the silence broke and the emergency crews went back to work.
Neither Rocky nor Allison understood what happened, but when the room began to shake every night while Rocky had nightmares over the event, Allison began to wonder. She consulted books first. Nothing answered her questions until she began to look into supernatural phenomena. She didn’t go directly to Earth mage but she did think that her son might have the power of telekinesis. Of course, when she carefully explained this to her son and he had no luck moving a toothbrush off the table, they stared at one another and then laughed.
The tiny earthquakes became less and less and Allison and Rocky thought nothing more about Rocky’s powers until he received a letter from a very unique school. Idris answered so many questions that had lurked in Allison’s mind but it put a zillion questions into Rocky’s.
Rocky started Idris completely unaware of what to expect. But it was sort of neat to be among other kids who could do really cool stuff. He didn’t feel like his powers were as special and to this day he doesn’t feel his abilities play any real importance in the world but he accepts them for what they are and has found creative uses for them, particularly in crafts. His manipulation of metal and stone has helped him create some decent art, jewelry and weaponry. Even some of the swords in the Swordplay club are the result of Rocky’s work. He often attends their meetings to watch and learn what designs benefit various players. The only time Rocky wields a sword himself is in private. To raise a blade against anyone is something he is not comfortable with.
You might be thinking, Boy, this guy is such a wuss, and you might be right. But I assure you, he has plenty of courage when it counts.

Rocky is not foulmouthed but he doesn’t censor himself either.
He is a terrible procrastinator.
He can be a bit messy.
His favorite thing to do on the computer is chat rooms and downloading music and movies.
